The rodizio style dinner was delicious, offering a variety of meat choices brought piping hot to the table. The grilled steak, chicken, sausage, turkey, pork and even pineapple offerings were all delicious. Although the salad bar offered far fewer options than other similar chain restaurants (e.g. Texas de Brazil), the price was very reasonable, and let's just admit that we go to rodizio steakhouses for the meats, not quail eggs and pickled cabbage. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy this meal served by a home style staff. I will certainly go back and leave my service card on "green" for as long as I possibly can!

New in town, opened a few weeks. Friendly service and good food. On the menu you find: Steaks, pastas (sauce homemade), seafood and traditional rodizio (sausage homemade). Keeping the same quality will remain for a long time

This is definitely one restaurant that I will not go back to. The atmosphere was anything but enjoyable. For a restaurant that has been open for 3 months, they have had ample time to fix it up. The floors looked like they had pulled up carpet and left it as is. The walls were filthy and one had been patched up but not painted. For a Brazilian restaurant, the meat was oversalted and substandard, the salad bar was very limited and the appetizers came 1/2 hour after we were served the meat. They ran out of cheese bread and the yucca was yucky. I don't know what the Italian half of this restaurant was like but I will not go back to check it out.

My wife and I were invited to dinner at this place. Man! Was I disappointed and let down. The ambience, the decor, and the salad bar were way below what we expected. I have been in other rodizio restaurants much better than this one. This is definitely a Restaurant Impossible candidate. My one star rating goes to the servers, they were courteous and pleasant to deal with. Oh. The men's bathroom did not have Paper towels and The door needs to be replaced. There is a big hole on the inside panel. I will not be returning to this place anymore.

We decided to use a popular coupon promotion for our first experience at Karocas. They require a reservation with this service. I read the reviews for Karocas and thought I would be supporting the business or the guests. Here, the negative reviews were spot on, with a few additional comments. First and foremost, there is no excuse for a restaurant, ANY restaurant for not checking the bathrooms for toilet paper prior to service. This alone should have sent us out the door, and in any other case, we would have but we already paid for our meal. Strike one. The decor of the restaurant is like Kitchen Impossible hightailed it out of there after they ripped out the flooring. Chairs were stacked in the corner from re-arranging the floor to accommodate two very large parties. This is why many restaurants offer banquet rooms. We noticed a room on the far north side of the restaurant but weren't directed there. We sat down, unfortunately, at a wobbly table. Nobody checked after moving things around. Mind you, there were only a few tables for small parties at this point to check. The table was furnished with salt and pepper. We were provided huge drink menus which had been soaked. They looked as if they were dried out in an oven. Opening the menu, you will find 6-8 full-color pages with a heading on one page, and a few drinks on the opposing. One laminated page would have been better than flipping through 8 pages (or so) for just a few drinks. The attempt at such over-the - top flash, contrasting with the condition of the floors made our heads hurt. Music? WRMF style pop blasting on a poor sound system. Forget any soothing Bossa Nova or other Brazilian fare to add to the experience. Kinda reminded me of a BBQ at an American Legion hall. Atmosphere. Poor. Strike 2. This, as other Yelpers have noted, is not a chain restaurant. I understand that they can't offer a massive salad bar, but they had a massive cold stone for cheese... but no cheese. They offered a LTO salad... but only had vinegar and oil. A request for something else by my party produced a ramekin of 1000 Island. The server neglected to ask the other member if they too needed dressing and they had to go back to the kitchen and must not have understood what she wanted because she only brought another ramekin. Our server, T. M. had trouble communicating with us. It may have frustrated her as we had to ask more than needed for beverage service, she dropped a plate of fried items on the table with no explanations as to what they were, and generally was not taking care of our needs at all. My party ordered a lemon mint tea which looked like Red Zinger but had the flavor of Chamomile... after it had been used and discarded. The Rodezio started to arrive. It would have been nice to have something to add to the flavor. It actually would have been nice to have it over salted. Alas, I can only say the parmesan pork and garlic steak were moist and flavorful. The rest of the meats were passable but unremarkable. I had high hopes for this experience. I hoped that my fellow Yelpers made a mistake. They didn't. I feel torn in this review. They should have a staff who can communicate. They should check to ensure that their guests are provided with toilet paper. They should put a pitcher of water on the table if they anticipate that it is warranted. They should pay attention to the details of basic service. They dropped the ball. For the price, it isn't terrible, but don't go expecting a stellar experience. I'll keep an eye on subsequent reviews to see what happens. I relied more on the comments from my dining companions than from my own observations, including the rating. If nothing more, acknowledge the fact that the restaurant looks really rough so people won't think you don't care how the place looks...

I was very impressed with this restaurant! We organized a private party which was originally expected to host 40-50 people and we end up with a surprise crowd of 70 people! However, the way we were served, the delicious Brazilian style BBQ, the Passion Fruit mousse dessert, the appetizers were all to die for and everybody ate very generous portions of meat and complements. I will certainly return with my family to enjoy another round of good Brazilian food anytime soon!

We enjoyed the rodizio tonight. The owner came by to visit and make sure we were enjoying our meal. The meat came out of the kitchen quickly and was delicious. The whole party enjoyed the meal and the staff was very attentive.

With a steakhouse it's about the meats. This place did a good job with tasty meats and a good selection. Not over salted as some Brazilian steakhouses can be. Service was good and everyone was very attentive. Not much in the way of salad & sides bar at all and the decor leaves something to be desired. Bottom line, this definitely isn't Texas de Brazil or Chima but then again the prices are a LOT less. $17.99 for the rodizio service. Sunday night there's music and they crank it up. I will be back.

A Rip-off Restaurant Serving Mediocre Food: Keep your distance! I took my family of 4 people to spend the New Year's Eve on this place. Worst mistake ever. We paid US $ 60 per person (50% of this paid in advance 1 week before to "guarantee" a table reservation) that was supposed to cover New Year's Brazilian buffet, sodas, one bottle of champagne and live band. The buffet was supposed to be served at 9pm but probably because the restaurant was awfully empty (why I paid US $ 120 in advance again?) they did at 10pm. The food variety was extremely disappointing: a few standard Brazilian side courses (but no baked black beans!), a couple of salads, only 2 kind of meat (roasted pork shoulder and pot roast) and a bunch of fruits for dessert. What a bummer for a Steakhouse! The food was blend - absolutely nothing "gourmet quality" - and some of the hot dishes were pretty cold. The pork - the "star of the buffet" was soggy and unevenly seasoned. Because of the low temperature, the fat was solid and the "crispy" skin was inedible. The overall impression: the buffet was made the cheapest way possible, in a hurry and without consideration for any sort of plating: it looked like something that you can get from a High School cafeteria. The irony was our server kept calling the guy/gal in charge of preparing the food, a "chef" (that was not available for several hours, by the way). I cannot believe we paid US $ 240 for that! The restaurant was very sketchy and furnitured with second-hand tables and chairs. No table cloths of any kind. The main dining room was very clean, but the bathrooms were dirty. Karoca's was poorly decorated for the "New Eve's Party" with some tacky Christmas leftovers and stuff bought from the dollar store. The sound system was dated and the quality, a mood killer. The sodas were included in the price, but - again - no open bar, just overpriced Brazilian drinks made in a very amateurish fashion and cheap ingredients. The free bottle of Champaign gave us all a headache the day after and probably was bought from some Wal-Mart "special". The first "live attraction" was a guy on a guitar playing old bossa nova hits. He was supposed to entertain us over dinner but all he managed was annoying us to death. It was often off-key and the sound system did not help. When the guy asked us if we had a request I was tempted to put him out of his misery and ask out loud "Would you please stop?". At this point we have only 4 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Sad, just sad. The "band" was supposed to arrive at 11pm. They arrived only 12:45am. It means we have our New Year's countdown delivered by the restaurant speakers directly from... Times Square. Knowing that we were in one of the greatest places on Earth to have a New Year's Party - Florida - we chose to have one of the most miserable New Year's celebrations of our lives in this place. Thank God the four of us were together and make a lot of fun of the whole "Twilight Zone" situation. The band was OK, playing Brazilian trademark songs: "samba" and "pagode". But the dance floor, well, was not actually a dance floor, only the sticky, greasy and ordinary restaurant floor, making dance a real challenge. Our server was very efficient and caring. She apologized for the delays and even offered an extra two desserts: a Brazilian flan (totally blend) and a passion fruit mousse (unfortunately this one never hit our table). The management never showed up to say or ask for anything. It seems they were embarrassed and ashamed themselves for the fiasco. But they had the nerve to charge an "automatic" service fee of $54. Fortunately they came to their senses and remove the extra charge after I requested. Please: do yourself a favor, perform some web research and go find another Brazilian restaurant closed by. There are plenty of awesome choices.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
